Islam is as old as human itself. Before the creation of humans, Allah informed His Angels He is going to create His own representative on earth. at first the angels where skeptic about the idea but Allah tested them with knowledge they know nothing about and inform them of mans superiority.
Indeed Allah has blessed man with the knowledge of various things. He release these knowledge to man in stages helping him in surviving his own changing environment.
Biotechnology is known to be the study of how living things or organisms can be used in easing the survival of man in his world. Biotechnology has been in existence since the beginning of the world. we read that the children of Adam and Eve - Abel and Cane (Habeel and Khabeel) where involved in farming despite the .abundance of resources then as there was less population and competition for resources. They still get involved in farming and rearing of livestock. that rings a bell of choice. Yes! there might be abundant resources but may be they where interest in particular things which they have to keep propagating so it would nit be depleted. in the story of the prophets, bread, cheese, milk etc are some of the foods they eat. all these foods are product of biotechnology.
